Create standalone profile update forms to gather specific information at key times.
- Navigate to the CRM.
- Select Setup from the left toolbar.
- Select Contacts or Organizations and then select Forms.
- Create a new form with the fields you want to see updated. If you need assistance creating a form, view this related article.
- Save the form.
- In a separate tab, navigate to the Portals + Microsites app.
- Select Pages from the left toolbar.
- Click the "Create Page" button in the top-right.
- Select a portal template.
- Select "Contacts & Organizations" for the Application.
- Name the page.
- Once you name the page, the page ID will auto-generate.
- The page route will auto-generate based on the name of the page, but you can edit it to fit your needs.
Helpful Hint: The page route the part of the page's URL that comes after your portal's domain. www.rhythmdemo.org is the domain and /profile/targetedProfileUpdate is the route.
- Determine the page's security access level, security policies, and page parameters.
- Click the "Save Changes" button.
- In the right toolbar under the open blocks tab, scroll down to find the Contacts & Organizations portal components.
- Drag the Update Contact Profile component or the Update Organization Profile component onto the page.
- Select the component once it has been added to the page by clicking it.
- In the right toolbar, select the Settings tab by clicking the gear icon.
- On your first tab, copy the form ID by clicking the # icon and selecting Copy ID to Clipboard.
- Back on the page editor, paste the form ID into the Form ID field.
- Add any additional content to your landing page.
- Click the "Save Changes" button in the top right.
- When you're ready, click the "Publish Changes" button in the top right.
