Enable Revenue Split for GL Accounts – Rhythm

You can easily split revenue from one source—like memberships, events, certifications, job postings, and more between multiple GL accounts. Just choose a percentage or dollar amount, and the system handles the rest.

For example, if a membership includes a subscription to your publication, each payment can be automatically split. Part of the revenue goes to your Membership GL account, and the rest goes to your Publication GL account.

Memberships + Committees

Setup > Membership > Packages
On the far right, click the green $ sign next to the membership type you want to split
Under Revenue Split, on the right, toggle to enable it
Click Add Revenue Split
Under Revenue G/L, select the GL Account you want to split
Under Type, select either Fixed Amount or Percentage
Under Percentage/Amount, enter either the percentage or dollar amount you want to go into the selected GL Account
Click + Add Revenue Split to split into more GL Accounts

Chapter Dues

Click Chapters from Memberships + Committees
Click Chapters (active)
Click the blue arrow icon on the left of the chapter name
In the middle of the screen, click Dues Products
On the far right, click the green $ sign next to the item you want to split
Under Revenue Split, on the right, toggle to enable it
Click Add Revenue Split
Under Revenue G/L, select the GL Account you want to split
Under Type, select either Fixed Amount or Percentage
Under Percentage/Amount, enter either the percentage or dollar amount you want to go into the selected GL Account
Click + Add Revenue Split button to split into more GL Accounts

Awards + Nominations

Search for the award you want to split
Click Setup > Applications > Fees
On the far right, click the $ sign next to the application fee you want to split
Under Revenue Split, on the right, toggle to enable it
Click Add Revenue Split
Under Revenue G/L, select the GL Account you want to split

Certification

Setup > Applications > Fees
On the far right, click the green $ sign next to the program you want to split
Under Revenue Split, on the right, toggle to enable it
Click Add Revenue Split
Under Revenue G/L, select the GL Account you want to split
Under Type, select either Fixed Amount or Percentage
Under Percentage/Amount, enter either the percentage or dollar amount you want to go into the selected GL Account
Click + Add Revenue Split to split into more GL Accounts

Meetings + Shows

Navigate to the Events Global Query Center by clicking Open Events
Click the blue arrow icon on the left of your event name
Setup > Registration > Packages
On the far right, click the green $ sign next to the registration type you want to split
Under Revenue Split, on the right, toggle to enable it
Click Add Revenue Split
Under Revenue G/L, select the GL Account you want to split
Under Type, select either Fixed Amount or Percentage
Under Percentage/Amount, enter either the percentage or dollar amount you want to go into the selected GL Account
Click + Add Revenue Split to split into more GL Accounts

Orders + Inventory

Click Merchandise
Search for the merchandise you want to split
Click Merchandise Options on the far right
Click Modify Financial Configurations from the drop-down menu
Under Revenue Split, on the right, toggle to enable it
Click Add Revenue Split
Under Revenue G/L, select the GL Account you want to split
Under Type, select either Fixed Amount or Percentage
Under Percentage/Amount, enter either the percentage or dollar amount you want to go into the selected GL Account
Click + Add Revenue Split to split into more GL Accounts

Career Center

Setup > Packages
On the far right, click the green $ sign next to the job package you want to split
Under Revenue Split, on the right, toggle to enable it
Click Add Revenue Split
Under Revenue G/L, select the GL Account you want to split
Under Type, select either Fixed Amount or Percentage
Under Percentage/Amount, enter either the percentage or dollar amount you want to go into the selected GL Account
Click + Add Revenue Split to split into more GL Accounts

Sponsorship + Benefits

Click Opportunities
Search for the sponsorship opportunity you want to split
Click Opportunity Options on the far right
Click Modify Financial Configurations from the drop-down menu
Under Revenue Split, on the right, toggle to enable it
Click Add Revenue Split
Under Revenue G/L, select the GL Account you want to split
Under Type, select either Fixed Amount or Percentage
Under Percentage/Amount, enter either the percentage or dollar amount you want to go into the selected GL Account
Click + Add Revenue Split to split into more GL Accounts
