Rhythm supports three dimensions of sub-ledger entry categorization:
- G/L Account
- Departments
- Accounting Projects
Create Departments
To create a batch download template in the console, navigate to the Finance and Billing module, then follow these steps
- Navigate to the Finance + Billing app.
- In the left toolbar, select Setup and then Departments.
- Click the + Create Department button.
- Select the associated Business Unit.
- Enter a code that will help you easily identify the department.
- Click the Save Changes button.
Configure Departments
Departments are defined on the product level within Rhythm. All products with an attached fee have the option to modify their financial configurations which is where you will be able to assign a department.
- Navigate to a chosen product. This could be a membership package, an event registration package, course fees, merchandise in the online store, and more.
- Click the dollar icon and the financial configuration window will appear.
- In the G/L Accounts section, assign a department to the product.
- Click the Save Changes button.
