The purpose of this document is to provide a comprehensive guide to getting started with the Rhythm Payments powered by Worldpay. Should you need additional support please contact our support team at support@rhythmsoftware.com.
Rhythm Payments Portal Access
Once the application is completed, you will be prompted to give login details. These login details are to be used as credentials for login.
- Navigate to the Rhythm Payments Portal
- Enter Username and password credentials
- Click Log In
Onboarding
A financial expert within your organization will submit a merchant account application to begin the process of establishing your account.
Merchant Account Onboarding Information
Your implementation project manager will help with this step, to begin the underwriting process.
To Create a Merchant Account, Complete the Merchant Boarding Form within the Rhythm Payments Gateway:
- Under Management, select Merchants
- Click Add Merchant
- Complete Step 1: About the Business
- Enter your business details
- Enter your business details
- Complete Step 2: About the Owner
- Enter Primary Owner Information
- Click Go To Step 3
- Complete Step 3: Account Setup
- Enter Account Setup Information
- Click Go To Step 4
- Complete Step 4: Add Bank Account
- Enter Bank Account Information
- Click Add New Merchant
Find a Merchant Account for the Rhythm Payments Portal
To locate your merchant account within the Rhythm Payments Gateway
- Login to your Rhythm Payments portal
- Under Management, Click Merchants
- Click the carrot to the far right of the desired account to expand
- Merchant ID: p1_mer_XXXXXXX
Note: Your merchant ID will always begin with p1_mer. The Merchant ID is also available on the Portfolio Management page
Navigating the Rhythm Payments Gateway
Upon completion of the underwriting process, full access to your Rhythm Payments portal will be granted. This should occur instantly but can take up to 24 hours.
Dashboard
Rhythm Payments' configurable dashboard provides you with a customizable view of your financials based on your viewing preference and what’s most important to you.
From the Dashboard view, click Add Smart Tile. From here you can choose which metrics are most important to you for viewing.
Select from Categories: Boarding, Risk, Sales & Revenue
Select Smart Tiles to display: New Merchants, Open Disputes, Chargeback Rates, Account Balance, Gross Sales Chart and so much more

- Add/View Merchant Accounts
- View all Merchant Accounts (active + inactive) via Portfolio Management

- Create and maintain Access Templates: Templates can be created for the type of user (referrer, merchant admin, merchant)
- Create and maintain Teams: to categorize the types of users who have access to your RP Portal

How does Rhythm Payments work?
Rhythm Payments leverages the Payrix API to enable seamless integration of the Worldpay platform into Rhythm, providing your members with a frictionless and tailored payment experience. By partnering with Worldpay, we offer state-of-the-art payment technology through a premier global processing gateway. We handle all support and ensure timely card processing while relying on the robust infrastructure of an established system for processing and settling your transactions.
What payment methods are supported?
Rhythm Payments currently supports the following payment methods:
- All major credit/debit cards: Visa, MasterCard, American Express & Discover
- Automatic Clearing House (ACH) transactions (U.S. bank account required)
- COMING SOON: Apple Pay and Google Pay (Digital Wallet)
Note: International e-check / ACH payments are not supported
Can I accept payments from buyers outside the US?
Yes. Rhythm Payments is powered by the Worldpay network – a global leader in e-commerce in 146 countries and across 135 currencies, meaning they provide the robust international payment support we know the association world needs.
Can I test payments in a sandbox account?
Rhythm Payments does not support a sandbox account, however, within the Merchant Account listed in the Rhythm console set, there is an option called Debug Mode. When enabled, all transactions will appear as successful without actually tendering the to the Rhythm Payments portal.
How do refunds work once migrated to Rhythm Payments from another processor?
Once the Merchant Account is created, there’s a legacy cutover date. Rhythm will automatically process any refunds for payments prior to that date using the old processor. Do not deactivate your previous processor to allow time for refunds outstanding to settle.
Is more than one Rhythm Payments account needed if I have more than one set of books?
Yes. If you have multiple BluePay or Authorize.net accounts, multiple Rhythm Payment accounts are needed. Submit one Rhythm Payments account for each account previously had with BluePay or Authorize.net.
SECURITY + COMPLIANCE
Is Rhythm Payments secure?
Yes. Rest easy and assured that your payments and data are secured and protected with Rhythm Payments facilitated by Payrix, a Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI-DSS) Level 1 certified processor.
I currently go through my Payment Processor for PCI compliance questions, who would now facilitate this request?
Submit all PCI compliance-related questions via a Rhythm support ticket.
How does Worldpay comply with regulations?
Worldpay takes compliance with regulations very seriously and employs various measures to ensure adherence to relevant laws and standards including:
- PCI-DSS compliance
- AML and KYC regulations
- GDPR Compliance

Worldpay stays up-to-date with regulatory changes, adjusting procedures as needed and submitting necessary reports or certifications to demonstrate compliance. Does Rhythm Payments support batches?
Yes. All payments processed through Rhythm Payments are added to a daily batch and can be viewed in your Rhythm Payments portal.
How do I connect Rhythm Payments to my bank account?
During the signup process, you will complete a registration form that includes details about your organization including your bank account information and the Rhythm team will take it from there.
Can I use my existing bank account?
Yes. Rhythm Payments supports the same bank accounts as our legacy payment processors.
Will there be changes in currency support?
