Create a File Cabinet
In order to make digital resources available in the portal, you must first create a file cabinet.
- Navigate to the Documents + Papers app.
- Click the Create File Cabinet button.
- Name the file cabinet.
- The ID auto-generates and can't be changed after creation.
- Optionally, you can automatically grant access to a file cabinet using eligibility criteria.
Helpful hint: Common scenarios for automatic access are member-only documents, chapter-based resources, committee-only materials, or event-based resources.
- Click the Save Changes button.
- Once you have saved your new file cabinet, you will be redirected to its 360° screen. From here, you can create folders for further organization or upload files.
Add Files to a File Cabinet
Once you have created a file cabinet, you can then store documents within it.
- Navigate to your chosen file cabinet.
- Click the Upload button.
- Add the file you wish to include in the file cabinet. Rhythm supports the following file types:
- Docx
- PowerPoint
- Excel
- cvs
- png
- jpg
- Rhythm does not support video files. If you upload a video file, your digital library will not load successfully.
- Once you've uploaded a file, you can rename it. Remember that portal users will see the name of the file.
